The names matter when numbers disagree. If the front label says omega-7 35 percent and the certificate of analysis says palmitoleic acid 22 percent, that gap is worth an email to the brand. Honest explanations exist, like different batches or test methods, but so do dishonest ones, and the question is cheap to ask.

The honest caveat

The human trials dosed whole sea buckthorn oil, not isolated palmitoleic acid, so the studied benefits belong to the oil as tested. Crediting this one molecule alone runs ahead of the evidence.
