The programs we work with

We participate in affiliate programs with brands and retailers in the sea buckthorn space, including direct brand programs and large retailers. What we learn when you buy

Very little, and nothing personal. We see that a sale happened and roughly what was bought, which tells us which recommendations readers actually use. We do not see your name, your address, or your payment details. Those live with the seller, under the seller’s privacy policy, which our privacy policy advises reading before you share anything.

Why this model

The alternatives are worse. Sponsored posts pay us to say things. Display ads pay fractions of a penny and reward pageviews over usefulness. Affiliate commissions pay only when a recommendation holds up well enough that a reader acts on it, which points the money in roughly the right direction. The editorial policy exists to keep that roughly as close to exactly as we can manage, and we would rather show you this machinery than ask you to trust a slogan.

What we do with the numbers

Commission totals tell us which guides earn their keep, and we read them as a map of reader trust, not as a to-do list. A product that earns well gets no extra promotion because of it, and a product that earns nothing stays if the rubric says it is good. That separation is easy to promise and worth checking on, so check on it: the scores and the math sit in the open on every guide.

Completely fine. Search the product name, buy direct, and the review is just as useful to you. The guides, including the oil guide, publish enough detail to shop confidently without clicking anything at all. Some readers buy through our links as a thank you, and we appreciate it.
