SeaBuckthornWorld collects as little as a content site can. This page says what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.

What we collect

Email address, if you subscribe. The newsletter asks for your email address, and that is the whole ask. We use it to send the weekly email and nothing else. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe link that works immediately.

Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting keeps technical logs (pages requested, approximate region, device type) that keep the site running and secure. We do not build profiles from them.

What we never do

We never sell, rent, or trade your email address or any other personal data. We do not run accounts, so there is no profile to leak, and we do not send marketing beyond the newsletter you asked for.

Some links point to merchants, and purchases there may earn us a commission, as our affiliate disclosure explains. Once you leave this site, the merchant’s own privacy policy applies, and we encourage reading it before sharing payment details.

Your control

Unsubscribe from the newsletter any time through the link in any issue. To have your address deleted from our list entirely, contact us through the about page and we will remove it promptly. Questions about this policy go through the same route.

If this policy changes, the new version replaces this page with a revised date above. Material changes get called out in the newsletter as well.

The short version, one paragraph

We do not run advertising trackers or cross-site profiling cookies. The site is a set of pages you read, and reading them does not enroll you in anything. If display advertising ever arrives, it may bring its own cookies, and this page will be updated to name them before they appear.

How long things are kept

Newsletter addresses stay on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Server logs rotate out on the hosting provider’s normal schedule. There is no archive of you to worry about, because there is no archive.

Who processes your email

Sending a weekly email requires an email service provider, which means your address passes through their systems under their own privacy terms. We choose providers on boring criteria: reliability, unsubscribe handling that works, and no data resale. The newsletter page covers the subscribing half of this.

Children

This site is written for adults making their own decisions about food and supplements. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Where your rights come from

Wherever you read us from, you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and the answer arrives through the contact route on the about page. Some regions grant those rights by law. We extend them to everyone because the list is short and the asks are rare.

What this policy does not cover

Links out. Once you click through to a merchant, a study database, or any other site, their policies apply, and the affiliate disclosure explains which of those destinations may pay us a commission. Reading a merchant’s policy before entering payment details is dull advice that pays off exactly when you need it.
