You will usually find it as a front-badge claim, because it costs money to do and therefore earns its place in the marketing. A label that tells the full story reads like: berry oil, Hippophae rhamnoides, CO2 extracted, with an omega-7 percentage printed. Method, species, and plant part, all on one bottle.

One quiet check: the claim should attach to the sea buckthorn oil itself. A blend can say “contains CO2-extracted sea buckthorn” while the bulk of the bottle is a cheaper carrier oil produced who knows how.

The honest caveat

Method is not a complete verdict. A CO2-extracted oil from the wrong plant part, stale berries, or a weak batch is still a weak oil, and the method line tells you nothing about dose or freshness.
