How it is worked out
Per day = the dose in milligrams ÷ the oil in one softgel (or in one millilitre of liquid), in milligrams. Per meal = per day ÷ the number of meals. Days the bottle lasts = bottle size ÷ per day.
Liquid math uses 1 ml ≈ 0.91 g of oil, the density behind the conversions on our dosage page. The highest dose in the human trials we cite was 5 g/day for four weeks; treat 3 g/day as the sensible ceiling.
